Earl E. Roffee, 49, Owner of Dexter Barber Shop, Dies

Earl E. Roffee, 49, of 302 E. Madison St., proprietor of the Roffee Barber Shop in Dexter died Saturday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor where he was taken after suffering a heart attack at his barber shop.
Mr. Roffee was born on July 6, 1908, in Columbus, O., a son of Frank and Edna Thomas Roffee. He and Margaret Tripp of Saline were married on May 29, 1937.
He had lived in Ann Arbor the past 32 years and had barbered at shops in the State St. area before taking over the shop in Dexter about 10 years ago.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Evangelical & Reformed Church of Ann Arbor.
Survivors include his wife, a son, James T., and a daughter, Jayne E., both at home; his mother, Mrs. James Carrico of Shadyside, O.; two sisters, Mrs. Fred McMurray of Shadyside, O., and Mrs. William Dailey of Ann Arbor, and a step-brother, Richard Carrico of Detroit.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Muehlig Chapel with the Rev. Walter S. Press officiating.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at Saline.
