Funeral Services For Murder Victim, Son Set For Sunday
YPSILANTI - Joint funeral services for Mrs. Janice Louise Weatherford, 23, of 9650 Geddes Rd., who was killed Wednesday in her Superior township home, and for her son, Billy, who died four hours after birth at University Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stevens & Bush Funeral Home.
The Rev. Lowell E. Young will officiate. Burial will be in Udell Cemetery south of Ypsilanti. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Friday morning.
Mrs. Weatherford was born Jan. 14, 1935, at Belleville. She was the daughter of Maxwell and Helen Dicks Black.
She married Gladis O. Weatherford on May 24, 1958, in Ypsilanti.
Survivors include the husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell Black of Ypsilanti; five sisters, Mrs. Coralee Senter of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Gloria' Shumway of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Carol Vreeland of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Lois Blank of Mt. Morris, Mich., and Mrs. Donna Whal of Ypsilanti; three brothers, Maxwell Black, jr., of Wichita, Kas., David Black of Ypsilanti and Robert Black of Ypsilanti; and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Dicks of Saline.
