Gustave Hinderer
Gustave Hinderer, 63, of 1500 Geddes Ave. died at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Nov. 29 after a brief illness.
Mr. Hinderer, who was for the past 46 years a welder at the University, was born Oct. 25, 1895, in Sylvan township, the son of Christian and Katherine Walz Hinderer. He had lived in Ann Arbor for the last 54 years.
On July 29, 1916, he married Claribel Cooper of Ann Arbor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church here.
Mr. Hinderer is survived by his wife, two sons, Robert E. and Edward E., and a daughter, Joyce E., all of Ann Arbor. Other survivors are five grandchildren, a brother, Julius H. of Ann Arbor, a half-brother, Fred, of Chelsea, and three half-sisters, Mrs. Jerry Miles and Mrs. Oscar Boehnke, both of Ann Arbor, and Mrs. Bertha Holt of Detroit.
Funeral services were held Dec. 2 at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chester H. Loucks officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.
