Lions To Mark Anniversary
Ann Arbor Lions will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the club with a dinner at 07:15 p.m. Thursday in the ballroom of the Michigan Union. The club received us charter on April 29, 1929 Thomas of Annapolis, Md., a member of the Lions International Board of Directors, will address the 150 Lions and their wives at the anniversary dinner. Basil has been police commissioner and a member of the city council in Annapolis as well as being active Basil in civic affairs. The Ypsilanti Lions Club will send a delegation of 32 Lions and their wives to the dinner, and representatives of other clubs are expected. Dr. Carl H. Frye, president of the local club in 1937-38, will act as toastmaster, Arrangements for the dinner are being made by Harold C. Baker, who was the first president of the Ann Arbor Lions Club.
