Ypsilanti Woman Dies At Hospital
YPSILANTI - Miss Lenore (Nora) Burkheiser, 77, of 415 Olive St., died Saturday in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Miss Burkheiser was born on Nov. 27, 1881, in Ypsilanti, a daughter of John P. and Jennie Haller Burkheiser. She had spent most of her life in Ypsilanti except from 1900 to 1921 when she lived in Jackson.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church here.
Survivors include three sisters, Miss Anna M. Burkheiser and Miss Elizabeth M. Burkheiser, both of Ypsilanti, and Mrs. Della Thome of Owosso; two brothers, John Burkheiser of Hillsdale and Dr. Charles W. Burkheiser of Johannesberg, Union of South Africa; and four nieces and a nephew.
A requiem high mass will be sung at funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the chapel of the Moore Funeral Home, where friends may call.
Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
