Mrs. Anna Wetmore Bullis Cotter, 87, the daughter of a pastor of the First Presbyterian Church here almost 100 years ago, died yesterday in Windsor, Ont., where she had lived for the past three years.
Mrs. Cotter was the granddaughter of the pioneer McIntyre family in Ann Arbor. Her grandfather, Donald McIntyre, was a regent of the University from 1858 until 1863, a banker, and early owner of West Park, with his residence on West Huron St.
She was born July 26, 1871, in New York state, the daughter of the Rev. William W. and Mrs. Martha McIntyre Wetmore. The Rev. Mr. Wetmore was pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in 1864-65.
After spending her early years in Ann Arbor with her parents, she was married to Justin B. Bullis in 1896. They moved to Detroit from Ann Arbor in 1910. He died in 1932.
She later married George Cotter of Farmington. After his death in 1947, she made her home in Detroit before moving to Windsor three years ago.
Mrs. Cotter is survived by a daughter, Mrs. O. Thomas Wills of Hot Spring, Ark.; two grandsons, Donald M. Wills of Joliet, Ill., and Bridson Wills of Cleveland, O., and two great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church, Rev. William P. Lemon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel from Thursday noon until Friday noon.
