John D. White
CLINTON - John D. White, 66, of 207 W. Michigan Ave., died Monday at Veterans Hospital in Ann Arbor, where he had been a patient for three weeks.
Mr. White was born Nov. 15, 1893, in Clinton, a son of John J. and June White, and married Ida Faulhaber of Clinton on June 23, 1923. She survives.
He was retired from the former Clinton Woolen Mills six years ago due to illness. He worked for the firm for 25 years and was retired as a supervisor.
He was a member of the St. Dominic Catholic Church, and was a former member of the Clinton Frederick Peiper Post No. 176 of the American Legion.
Besides his wife, survivors are a daughter, Mrs. James (Alma) Woodward of Clinton; three grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Christine Faulhaber, also of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. A son and daughter preceded him in death, along with two brothers and a sister.
A Requiem High Mass will be sung at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Dominic Church, and burial will be in St. Dominic Cemetery. The Rev. Edward Kalinowski will officiate.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Proctor Funeral Home here, where friends may call.
