William L. Zebbs

William L. Zebbs, 90, of 139 Hill St., died Monday morning at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital following a long illness.
He was born March 1, 1871 in Ann Arbor the son of Richard and Jane Zebbs. His wife Eva preceded him in death in 1955.
Mr. Zebbs had worked as a carpenter, was a life-long member of the Second Baptist Church, a charter member of Dunbar Center, a member of the Negro Welfare League and also helped organize the Alpha Sigma Kappa Club.
Friends may call at the Staffan Funeral Home until noon Thursday. The body will then lie in state at the Second Baptist Church until 2 p.m. when funeral services will be conducted with the Rev. C. W. Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
