REDESIGNED RESTAURANT: This is an architect's sketch of the modified exterior of a $175,000 restaurant and cocktail lounge proposed for 2175 W. Stadium Blvd. It will be operated by James Kales of Ann Arbor. The restaurant's exterior design was altered in line with a City Council recommendation. The original design was an abstract form of an octopus with tentacle-like extensions which have been eliminated, along with a mouth-type entrance. The building now has a cave-like entrance and a dome instead of a tower-like eye protrusion. The dome will permit Kales to have a 10-foot-wide waterfall built-in with a 30-foot drop. There also will be an outdoor garden.
