Swimming Pool And Clubhouse To Be Given To Bromley Residents; Model House Opens

Persons who buy new houses in Bromley, a 240-house subdivision on Plymouth Rd., will become equal owners in a swimming pool and clubhouse being built there.

Rose - Hill - Barron, which is showing a 2,054-square-foot Colonial house at Bromley for the first time this weekend, announced that it will give the land, a 30 x 60-foot pool and the clubhouse to Bromley residents. That facility will have a private parking area.

Pool Ready This Summer

The pool, which ranges in depth from 3 to 10 feet, will be ready for use this summer, it was announced. It will have lighting for nighttime use. The facility is the second such one to be built in the city.

The new Colonial model, a two-story structure with two-car garage and a full basement, will sell for $23,900 and is typical of the type that can be built with five elevations in Bromley.

The unusual model contains a 40-foot-long kitchen-dining family room which can contain a fireplace at option. The dining area is divided by U-shaped kitchen cabinets. There is a built-in range and oven. The family room has oak peg flooring.

The house boasts a good-size 19 x 15-foot living room and a formal dining room. A halfbath is off the foyer and adjacent to the kitchen and entry to the garage.

Has Four Bedrooms

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, one of them a 15 x 11-foot master bedroom with full bath. A second bath serves the other three bedrooms and has two sinks within a vanity. A feature is a four-foot-wide hallway.

KITCHEN-DINING-FAMILY ROOM: This is the 40-foot-long kitchen-dining-family room area of a new, 2,054-square-foot Colonial model house being shown in Bromley for the first time, Bromley is the North Campus Heights Subdivision at Plymouth and Prairie Rds.

Also optional is a 10-foot square fallout shelter, the ceiling of which forms a patio just outside the family room. This installation costs $600.

Rose-Hill is offering conventional mortgages at 5% per cent interest as well as FHA’s. Pricing includes lot.

So far, 40 houses have been sold in Bromley. Twenty-five have been built since the subdivision was opened last September.
