Oscar A. Smith

YPSILANTI - Oscar A. Smith, who was retired after 48 years as a rural mail carrier in the Willis area, died Monday at the Right Rest Home. He was 66.
Born in Augusta township on April 19, 1896, he was a son of Alfred and Electa Pasko Smith. He married Eleanor Minard in Ypsilanti during August, 1908. She died Oct. 26, 1950.
Mr. Smith married Cora Austin on Sept. 9, 1960. She died May 13, 1961.
He was a member of the Willis Methodist Church, Willis Kiwanis Club, Ypsilanti Farm Bureau and Rural Mailcarriers Association. He was active in Boy Scout work for many years, for which he was presented a beaver award.
