Second Baptist Brings Worker
Mrs. Eliza Davis George, missionary to Sinoe, Liberia, West Africa, will speak at the 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Holy Communion | service Sunday at Second Baptist Church.
A missionary in Sinoe for more than 50 years, Mrs. George will tell of her work. She also will speak at the Mission Study Hour meeting at 7:45 p.m. Monday in the church parlor.
The Rev. Charles W. Carpenter, pastor of Second Baptist] , Church, gave Mrs. George $10 in September, 1935, when she appeared at the denomination’s' national convention and made a plea for money with which to buy a Bible.
Miss Gloria Richardson will be the Sunday morning soloist, when the church choirs, with I Miss Ellen Gustafson at the organ, will sing.
The public is invited by the church to the Sunday morning and Monday evening services. There will be no Sunday evening service.
