Raymond E. Kurtz Raymond Edward Kurtz, 43, of 3739 Dexter Rd, died suddenly Sunday noon of a heart attack while en route to Ann Arbor from Little Silver Lake. He was born Jan. 11, 1920, in Ann Arbor, a son of Walter L. and Emma Zahn Kurtz. A lifelong city resident, he married Lillian Busch on Aug. 28, 1943. She survives. He was a machinist at Buhr Machine Tool Co. Mr. Kurtz was a member and usher at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He served in World War II with the occupational forces overseas. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Kathy and Joanne, both at home; his parents, two brothers, Erwin and Eugene, both of Ann Arbor, and two sisters, Mrs. Samuel (Celia Stornant of Lansing and Mrs. Ottis (Jane) Thornton of Florence, Ala. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Vernold W. Aurich officiating. Burial will be in Washtenong Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethesda Lutheran Home. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel until noon Wednesday.
