Harvey Boyce Dies At Age 69
Harvey E. Boyce, 69, former owner of the Boyce Photo Co., 723 N. University, died Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. He resided at 1518 Harbrooke.
He was born Nov. 25, 1894, in Detroit, the son of Charles L. and Kate Amelia Eames Boyce. He came to Ann Arbor in 1914 and attended the University's College of Engineering. He served with the Navy during World War I. He operated a commercial photography and greeting card business for 34 years, retiring three years ago. He married Margaret Sauve in Ann Arbor April 16, 1931.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Louise) Pribyl of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Barton (Carol) LaVine of Kansas City, Kas.; two grandchildren and one sister, Miss Helen E. Boyce of Ann Arbor. One infant daughter, Mary Ann died in 1932.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Cockrell officiating. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel.
