Pratt Lodge Picks Crawford
James Crawford is the new exalted ruler of Pratt Lodge No. 322 of the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks.
Crawford and other newly elected officers were installed during ceremonies at the lodge home, 220 Sunset.
Others included Bert Greenidge, leading knight; James Graham, lecturing knight; Calvin Bond, secretary; Robert Strickland, treasurer; and Sam Jones, treasurer.
Placed on the board of trustees were Robert Jones, June Smith, Clay Owens, Robert Johnson and John Towns.
Subsequently named to appointive offices were Don Thomas, master of social sessions; Robert Jones, assistant secretary; the Rev. William J. Daniel, chaplain; Bond and Graham, youth directors; human relations chairman. Graham and the Rev. Mr. Daniel; housing chairman, James Johnson; and employment chairman, Thomas.
The Daisy Chain Temple No.212, the women’s organization for the lodge, will hold a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at 208 N. Fourth Ave.
