William Decker, 74, of 125 Adams, died this morning at his home after a long illness.
He was born March 30, 1890, in Germany, and was the son of Fredrick and Marie Decker. He married Lena Beck on March 10, 1917, in Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Decker came to Ann Arbor from Germany in 1928.
Mr. Decker was a retired auto painter. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife; a sons, Albert H. of Garden City; a brother, Adolph of Germany; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Beisel and Mrs. Fredericka Maurer, both of Germany.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Carl A. Brauer officiating.
Burial will be at the Washtenaw Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church fund.
