Family Gathering
FAMILY GATHERING: Twenty-eight Michigan families gathered yesterday on the lawn of Pinebrook Farm in South Lyon to share picnic lunches with new “family members” — the 28 young German students who arrived in the U. S. Sunday to take part in a teen-age exchange program. Pictured is the Chester M. Hunt family of 280 Oakway, who came to meet Renate Rexhausen, 16, of Cologne, Germany, who will live with them this year. Renate will be a senior in Ann Arbor High School in the fall. In the family group (left to right) are Monte Hunt, 13, Renate, Hunt and Jane Hunt, 16. With backs to the camera are Gisela Fuhrman (left) of Berlin, Germany, who is teaching German at Wayne University this year, and Mrs. Hunt. The farm meeting place is the home of Mrs. Rachel Andresen, executive secretary of the Ann Arbor-Washtenaw Council of Churches, administrator of the exchange program.
