SALINE - Mrs. Bertha Hirth, 85, of 5821 Ann Arbor - Saline Rd., Lodi Township, died Sunday morning at Saline Community Hospital following a brief illness. She was a life-long Lodi Township resident.
She was born there Oct. 31, 1879, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Laubengayer Mayer. She married Ernest Hirth May 1, 1902, in Lodi Township. He died Oct 1, 1928.
Two sons, one daughter and three brothers also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond and Walter, both of Saline; two daughters, Miss Amelia Hirth of Saline and Mrs. Norman (Lucile) Brassow of Dexter; one sister, Mrs. Christian Lambarth of Saline; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a member. The Rev. H. L. Engel will officiate. Burial will be in Lodi Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Bahnmiller Funeral Home until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and at the church from noon until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Martin Luther Memorial Home or the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund.
