Dedication Held For Branch Library
Lloyd T. Williams Jr. (standing right), president of the Board of Education, accepts the Nellie S. Loving Branch Library from architect David W. Osier. The new $53,830 branch was dedicated yesterday. Seated (left to right) are School Supt. Jack Elzay, Homer Chance, director of the Public Library, the Rev. Richard I. Preis of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rabbi Harold S. White (behind Osier) of Beth Israel Congregation, and Wallace J. Bonk, chairman of the University’s department of library science. The branch was opened today.
