Ervin K. Holland-Moritz of 2920 Valley Dr., took this picture of the new Ikeya-Seki comet at 5:15 a.m. yesterday from a site on S. State Rd. near Waters Rd. in Pittsfield Township. The comet is visible just before sunrise along the eastern horizon, if weather conditions are right. Holland Moritz, a research engineer in the University’s Institute of Science and Technology, is a member of the Ann Arbor Amateur Astronomers Association. He took the picture of the comet with a 35-mm camera, using a seven-inch, F 2.5 lens.
