The new Howard Cooper Volkswagen, Inc., of 2575 S. State, Pittsfield Township, was opened formally this week on a five-acre site. The showroom and service facility cost more than $250,000. Owner is Howard Cooper who returned to Ann Arbor to operate the facility. He is a University graduate and was business manager of the U-M football team in 1949. The facility contains more than 15,600 square feet.
Besides general service and parts departments and showroom, the facility has a specially-equipped shop in which engines can be repaired.
