Prof. Hammett Ill In Texas
Prof. Ralph W. Hammett of the University's College of Architecture and Design and senior partner of the Ann Arbor architectural firm of Hammett & Pettys, is ill in a San Antonio, Tex., hospital.
The U-M college and the office of his firm stated they had no information on his illness.
Paul M. Haller of 2020 Vinewood, a friend, said he had received word Prof. Hammett became ill on board ship between Bombay, India, and Cairo, Egypt, and was flown back to the United States when the ship docked in Cairo.
