Elks Pratt Lodge No. 322 and the Daisy Chain Temple No. 12 will be the co-hosts for the 1st annual summer session of the Michigan State Association of the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World.
More than 3,500 delegates from various Elks lodges throughout the state are expected to participate in this convention, which is to be held sometime late this month.
The summer session was approved this past weekend at the state convention in Saginaw. The local lodges were represented by two prize-winning drill teams at this convention. The French Dukes won first place in the boys’ drill team division, and the Eltoras drill team won first place in the girls’ division. A total of 90 boys and girls from the local lodges was sent to the convention for the youth program.
