Wins In A Walk

Astronaut Edward H. White was awarded
the Gen. Thomas D. White Space Trophy for
being the first American astronaut to walk
in space. Col. White received the trophy dur-
ing special ceremonies at the National Geo-
graphic Society headquarters for his space-
walk June 3, 1965, during the flight of the
