Wandering Iguana Reclaimed

The wandering iguana, picked up Saturday night by city police and turned over to the Humane Society, has spent more time at the animal shelter than with its new owner, Richard Ott. The four-and one-half-foot lizard escaped from its leash the same day Ott acquired it from a gas station attendant. Ott claimed the pet Monday night. He said he hadn’t even named it yet. Humane Society attendants found lettuce a satisfactory food for the lizard.
