Age 48, died yesterday in Beyer Memorial Hospital. Born March 27, 1918 in Sumpter Township, she was the daughter of Ernest and Julia Helzerman Bortz and a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Ypsilanti. She is survived by her husband, Thomas H., a daughter Judith Carolyn, at home and a brother, Harold Bortz of Belleville. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday from Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Belleville, the Rev. Paul Pretzlaff officiating. Burial to be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 7:30 this evening.
