Blicke, Professor Emeritus (Frederick F.)

Age 77, died Saturday in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital following a brief illness. He was born April 26, 1891 in Bucyrus, Ohio the son of William A. and Antonia Mader Blicke. On Sept. 11, 1919, he married Hazel S. Powles of Ontario, Canada. She died Nov. 21, 1961. Professor Blicke was a faculty member of the College of Pharmacy and was a World War I veteran. Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Ingersoll of Briar Cliff Manor, New York; four grandchildren, a brother, Julliard Blicke of Bucyrus, Ohio. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday from the Muehlig Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Michigan Inter Departmental Program in Medicinal Chemistry through the Gift Receiving Office of the University.
