In His Memory
Seven medals earned by Spec. 4 George V. Airey Jr., who died May 9 in Vietnam combat, were presented by Col. H. K. Reynolds, chairman of the University Department of military science, to Mr. and Mrs. George Airey Sr. and daughters Aleyn and Dawn their home at 901 Avon Rd yesterday. The 23-year-old soldier had been awarded the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, Expert Rifleman's Badge and, posthumously, a second Purple Heart and the Bronze Star Medal.
