Michigan's No. 2 tailback, sophomore Bill Taylor, apparently is ready to play.
Taylor, a 5-10, 195-pound, hard-running speedster from Barberton, Ohio, participated in a rough scrimmage yesterday for the first time in several weeks at Michigan Stadium and came through in good shape.
Taylor was sidelined early in practice with a shoulder injury.
Meanwhile, defensive end Phil Seymour, a senior regular of last season, had the cast removed from his leg yesterday and is scheduled to start some loosening-up exercises. Seymour, who has a knee injury, also was hurt before the season's first game. Michigan coaches are hopeful Seymour will be ready for the Big Ten opener with Purdue, the week after the Missouri game.
The polls this week show Missouri ranked ninth by both Associated Press and United Press International. Michigan has jumped to 13th in the AP rankings and 11th in the UPI poll.
