Age 72, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Born October 24, 1898, in Ann Arbor, she was the daughter of Ernest and Minnie Amsden White. Mrs. Thielk married Carl Thielk November 3, 1916. She had been a member of the Detroit Society of Geneological Research, the New England Historic Geneological Society, and the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Michigan. Surviving, besides her husband, are: two daughters, Mrs. John (Virginia) Hedlesky, of Ann Arbor, and Mrs. John (Carolyn) Clark, of Detroit; two sons, Giles and Richard Thielk, both of Ann Arbor; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Raymond Graf, of Leesburg, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Muehlig Chapel with Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Burial will be made in Arborcrest Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Cancer Fund, in care of Dr. John C. Nixon.
