Argus Settles
In New Plant

The Argus optics division
has completed its move from
the building at 408 Fourth St.
to facilities at 2601 S. State,
whicih were formerly occupied
by Applied Dynamics.

Argus, which has had oper-
ations here for a number of
years, has also moved it's
corporate headquarters and
accounting offices from
Columbia, S.C. to -the same
building.

The move was a consolida-
tion of operation to reduce
costs, according to Donald
Hochgreve, the manager of
the optics division.

The Fourth St. facility has
been taken over by the
University, which previously
had space in other parts of
the building. Argus held an
auction to sell off excess
equipment. Previously Argus
had moved out of a facility
the firm had leased in Dexter.
