Sycor Reports Revenue Hikes
Sycor Inc. revenues for nine months of 1971 reached $5,415,700 compared to $1,342,800 reported for the comparable period in 1970, according to President Samuel Irwin. The loss for the nine months was $1,544,600 which is an improvement from the $2,922,000 loss reported a year ago for the manufacturer of data communication terminals.
Revenues for the third quarter reached $1,785,600 despite reduced shipping rates experienced during July and August resulting from the start-up of export shipments of terminals with expanded operating capability. Revenues for the month of September reached a new monthly high and operations for the single period were at a break even point, Irwin said. The loss for the quarter as a whole was $557,400.
Irwin said the outlook is encouraging and the company is cautiously optimistic about the fourth quarter and its ability to maintain the trend indicated by the September results.
