Wiese, Adolf C.

Age 75, died suddenly yesterday. Mr. Wiese was born January 30, 1897 in Cato, Wis., the son of Charles and Matilda Bruss Wiese. On May 10, 1924 he married Miss Sophie Hartman in Ann Arbor. Mr. Wiese served in the US Army during WWI, was a local postal clerk for 41 years, and was recently employed by the University of Michigan Athletic Department. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Veterans of WWI, a member and former secretary of the American Legion Hunt and Fish Club, and a life member of the American Legion Post No. 46 and the local Elks Lodge No. 325. Survivors include: his wife, two daughters, Miss Dorothy J. Wiese of Latham, N.Y. and Mrs. John L. (Helen) Snuverink of Ann Arbor; two grandchildren, Scott and Lynn Snuverink of Ann Arbor; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Ekland, Mrs. Hilda Staffan, Mrs. Alvina Warner, and Miss Joan Wiese, all of Ann Arbor. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Muehlig Chapel with the Rev. David Bracklein officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
