The Ann Arbor Human Rights Party Has Released A List of Financial Contributors

The Ann Arbor Human Rights Party has released a list of financial contributors to its local campaigns and says it challenges its opponents in the 53rd District state representative race to follow suit. 

The HRP says its list includes not only money already spent, but all donations received and deposited as of Oct. 16. In addition to individual contributions, petty cash raised through a bucket drive and sale of buttons and stickers total over $200. Contributions to the Steve Bur-ghardt campaign for state representative now total 1,203. Susan Newell has received $134.50 and Susan Winning’s campaign has received $220.50. The petty cash has been applied mostly to the Newell campaign and general office expenses.

Following is a list of persons the HRP says have contributed $25 or more. These contributions the HRP says were used for the campaign of Steve Burghardt, who is running for the state Legislature from District 53.

Philip S. Carroll, $100; Katherine Gueol, $25; Elizabeth Burghardt, $50; Richard W. England, $25; Elaine B. Chute, $50; Robert Sklar, $25; Marshall D. Burghardt, $99.99; Everett M. Ehrlich, $40; Zolton Ferency, $100; John P. Fitts, $50; Susan Saegert, $100; Donnie Ernst, $25;

Ernest and Marilyn Young, $25; Julia Wrigley, $45; Robert D. Vinter, $25; Robert J. Gitter, $25 and Sharon K. Halpem, $25.

Contributors who gave $25 or more which was used for the campaign of Susan Newell, county commissioners candidate from District 14, are Bruce Steinberg, $25, and .David Black, $25.

Contributors who gave $25 or more which was used for the campaign of Susan Winning, who is running for the county board in the 15th District, are Jesse H. Hall, $25; Daniel P. Kaplan, $50; Thomas E. Weisskopf, $25; Linda Butler, $25.
