A powwow featuring Ameri-
can Indian performers from
Michigan and nearby states
will be sponsored by the
University's Native American
Student Association" Iff tne
Michigan League ballroom
from 1 p.m. to midnight
Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5
p.m.Sunday.
Speakers at both sessions
will discuss the court action
filed against the U-M in 1972
by former U-M student Paul
Johnson, asking that the U-M
be required to establish
American Indian scholarship
funds in return for lands al-
legedly obtained from Mich-
igan tribal groups in the 1817
Treaty of Fort Meigs.
The pow-wow will be open
