Parkes, Mrs. Nettie L.

Age 71, passed away last night, January 30, 1974 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. She was born December 13, 1902 in Blenheim, Ontario, Canada the daughter of William and Minnie Rayment. She had been an Ann Arbor resident for most of her life. Survivors include: two sons; John Parkes of Ypsilanti, Jack Gunnell of Ann Arbor; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Mae) Staebler of Ann Arbor; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the Muehlig Chapel with the Rev. Sidney S. Rood officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
