SUNDAY MAR 31 1974

A Huron High School teacher and a retired Salvation Army officer were honored at a recent meeting of the Washtenaw County Law Enforcement and Industrial Security Association.

Morris Abrahams and Lt. Col. Harold Crowell were presented plaques citing them for “Outstanding Citizen Community Service.” Abrahams was recognized for his action several months ago when he pursued and caught three purse-snatchers, ignoring threats made by one of the thieves who brandished a tire iron.

Lt. Col. Crowell was honored for his long service with the Salvation Army and his present role as an advisor to Salvation Army activities in Ann Arbor.
