Huey, Virgil S.

Age 80, passed away suddenly early this morning, Oct. 14, 1974 at the University Hospital. Born April 12, 1894, in Connersville, Ind., he was the son of William and Alice Clark Huey. Mr. Huey was a resident of Ann Arbor for the past 35 years and married Geraldine E. Boland of Ann Arbor on Oct. 12, 1941; she survives. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Ann Arbor; a friend of the Bethel AME Church of Ann Arbor; an army veteran of World War I; member of the America Legion; active in civic affairs including the Ann Arbor Model Cities Program and also the North Central Property Owners Association. Mr. Huey retired in 1971 from the Detroit Edison Co., Ann Arbor office. Survivors besides his wife include: many nieces and nephews; one cousin, Mary Turner of Connersville, Ind. Arrangements are being completed by the Muehlig Chapel where friends may call. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel AME Church.
