How Federal Building Will Look
This is an artists rendering of what Ann Ar-
bor's new federal office buildings is to look like
as seen from Liberty Street. The complex.
which will house local federal agencies, includ-
ing the Post Office, will have a staggered de-
sign to a height of four stories. The $4 million
struction was designed by the Tarapata, Mac-
Mahon and Paulsen architectural firm of Bir-
mingham. The building plan drew criticism
Tuesday night (story on Page 25) because of a
large surface level parking lot being planned
to replace the Masonic Temple. The building
will be bounded by Liberty Street m the north.
Fifth Avenue on the east and Fourth Avenue
on the west.
