Way Clear For Federal Building, An order clearing the Way for work to begin on the federal build- ing planned in downtown Ann Ar- bor, by providing the government with possession of the house at 326 S. Fifth Ave., has been signed by U.S. District Judge Philip Pratt. Federal possession of the house by condemnation is to be effective at noon Saturday, June 14. Eight present tenants of the house at 326 S. Fifth Ave., and several former tenants, all represented by Nancy Francis of the Model Cities legal aid ser- vice, contend that the federal gov- ernment has not located compara- ble housing for them. A spokesman for the federal court s'aid this morning the tenants and the building's owner, attorney Pauline Rothmeyer, can continue to pr; -i'i 'administrative reme- dies' ; ii Ann Arbor's Hous- ing Commission, which adminis- ters aid for relocations required by .governme' ties.
