A Manchester attorney, shot to death outside his rural home last month, played only a minor role in the January ousting of the board of directors of a bank in that village.

Stanton G. Roesch, also a Manchester lawyer, said Friday that Peter A. Kensler attended two meetings of the group which eventually took over control of the Union Savings Bank of Manchester.

In a recent story in The News it had been indicated that Kensler led the group which now operates the bank.

Kensler’s body was found outside his rural home at 17750 Sharon Valley Road in Manchester Township early in February. The murder has not been solved.
