VA Suspects To Address Wesley Group
Two Filipina nurses accused of killing and poisoning patients at the Ann Arbor VA Hospital in summer, 1975, are to speak at the U-M’s Wesley Foundation on Wednesday.
The nurses, Filipina Narciso and Leonora Perez, are scheduled to appear at the Foundation, 602 E. Huron St., at noon. Their appearance is sponsored by the United Methodist Campus Ministry.
Perez and Narciso were indicted June 16 by a federal grand jury on charges they murdered five hospital patients and poisoned 10 others by giving them injections of a powerful muscle-relaxing drug.
Both women have denied the charge. Their trial is to begin Jan. 4.
