For The Record An article in Wednesday's editions about the closing of the Derby Bar and other businesses in the 100 block of E. Ann St. may have left the incorrect impression a barber shop formerly located there was involved in drug trafficking. Local police have described the block in general as a center for drug traffic, but the barber shop, operated by Johnny Rush, was never implicated in any wrongdoing. “I never had any drug traffic or trouble of any kind. I didn't allow it," Rush said. Last August Rush moved his business to 1031 Broadway. Willie J. Simpson died at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, according to friends. Information given to The News indicated he died at home. Also, friends say a cause of death has not been determined.
