Orr Gets Birthday Reminder
It isn’t likely that Michigan basketball Coach Johnny Orr will be permitted to forget that he turned 50 last month. A subcompact car observed on Packard this week carried a bumper sticker proclaiming: “John Orr is 50.”
The U-M Sports Information Department doesn’t know where the sticker came from, but there are suspicions that some of the coach’s friends are involved.
They helped him celebrate his birthday in June at a surprise party. The guest list included his friend and coaching rival Bobby Knight of Indiana.
