Dailey, Herbert L.
Age 74, died Sunday, November 27, 1977 at the Chelsea Community Hospital. He was born April 4, 1908 in Woodsfield, Ohio, the son of George and Elma Erlewine Dailey. He had been employed by the J.L. Hudson Company in Detroit for many years; retiring in 1962. At that time he moved to Gregory to live with his sister. Survivors include: his sister, Mrs. Marie Cook of Gregory; two nephews, Robert W. Cook of Gregory and Raymond A. Cook of Lansing; three great nieces, Amy J. Cook of Gregory, Darlene Knight of Lansing and Connie Smith of Lansing; one great nephew, Gary G. Cook of Stillwater, Minn.; four great great nieces, Angela and Nicole of Gregory, Jennifer of Stillwater, Minn. and Kristin of Lansing; one great great nephew, Ryan of Stillwater, Minn.; one uncle, George Erlewine of Dunedin, Fla.; and a cousin, Marie King of Whitmore Lake. One brother, George Dailey preceded him in death in 1962. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1 at 1 p.m. at the Staffan funeral home in Chelsea with the Rev. John W. Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ann Arbor. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. this evening.
