600 pounds of pot seized
A pre-dawn raid in Augusta Township Tuesday resulted in one arrest and seizure of over 600 pounds of marijuana. In addition to arresting 33-year-old Dale R. LaClair, 8137 Talladay Rd., police confiscated a handgun and $6,320 in cash. LaClair was released under terms of a $2,000 personal recognizance bond after arraignment in 14th District Court on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. The raid was staged at LaClair's home about 3 a.m. by agents from the Washtenaw Area Narcotics Team (WANT). In all, police said 605 pounds of pot was seized.
