WINNING PHOTO -
This photograph, a color snapshot of boats on a canal in Amsterdam, is among the snapshots selected for the 1979 Kodak International Newspaper Snapshot Awards at the Equitable Gallery in New York City. It was taken by Susan C. Wineberg of Ann Arbor. She is a student at the University of Michigan. Ms. Wineberg's picture will be among 800 award-winning photos on display in the contest, which drew more than 350,000 entries. She will receive a Kodak Centennial Medallion for excellence in amateur photography as part of the company's 100th anniversary celebration. The display opens Tuesday and ends Jan. 25.
