Barnard, Helen L.
Age 75, died Friday, April 25, 1980 at the University Hospital after a brief illness. Born January 22, 1905, in Houghton, Mich., she was the daughter of John and Minnie Walley. Mrs. Barnard had been a resident of Ann Arbor for the past 45 years. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and had formerly been employed as a social worker at the University Hospital. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Jean) Staebler of Brighton; one granddaughter, Clare Donovan of Brighton; one grandson, David Staebler of Brighton; two sisters, Min Waatti of Howell, Florence Sheckler of Traverse City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Muehlig Chapel with the Rev. Gordon M. Jones officiating. Burial will be made in Washtenong Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to an organization or charity of the contributor's choice. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel from 2-7 p.m. Sunday.
