Art collecting is AAUW topic

A slide presentation on collecting art in Ann Arbor is the focus of the May branch meeting of the American Association of University Women Thursday at the West Bank, 2900 Jackson Rd.
A social half-hour will start at 12 noon. The luncheon is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. with the meeting and program to follow.
Dottie Miller, Margaret Hamilton and Pat Ingersoll, members of the Art Study Group who have prepared the slide presentation.
Entitled “The Pleasures and Perils in Acquiring Art,” it will share their knowledge on collecting art as an investment as well as to enliven the home. The lecture and discussion will be led by Miller, a docent at the U-M Museum of Art with assistance from Ingersoll, an art major, and Hamilton, an avid collector and member of several museum societies.
