Sichel heads LWV slate for 2nd year
Anne Sichel was re-elected to her second term as president of the League of Women Voters for the Ann Arbor area at the League’s annual meeting.
Elected to serve with Anne were Clare Beck, second vice-president; Pat Trezise, third vice-president; Mary Wise, secretary; and Susan Zappan, treasurer.
Elected to the board of directors were Jan Brown, Carole Callard, Mary Delaney, Sheila Dumont, Joan Eich, Nancy Foster, Gloria Frankena, Joan Howe and Helen West.
Four program items were adopted for study and monitoring by the local League: education, general development plan, financing city government and transportation. The local league will also be working to get the Smith-Bullard tax shift plan on the November ballot by gathering petition signatures.
